What Kaizora notifies you of, where notifications appear, and how to turn each kind on or off or show them on your computer.

Updated

Kaizora notifies you of what you’d want to act on, and only when something changes.

What You’re Notified Of

  • Out of range: a value, or a window of days, going outside a reference range set to notify you, or going further out. You’re told once when it goes out, not again for each value or day that stays out.
  • Habit reminders: a daily habit to reach that isn’t met by the evening; a habit over a longer window whose streak would break that evening; or a habit to stay under, on the day it first goes over.
  • Connection errors: a live connection, such as Withings, that stopped syncing.

Where They Appear

The bell in the header shows how many you haven’t read. Choose it to see your newest; choosing one opens the page it’s about and marks it read. Mark all as read clears the count.

Turn Each Kind On or Off

  1. Open Settings, then the Notifications tab.
  2. Turn Out of Range, Habit Reminders, or Connection Errors on or off. Each saves as you switch it.

To stop one reference range from notifying you, turn off its Notify switch on its metric’s page, a default range included. To silence everything for a while, use your device’s Do Not Disturb or Focus.

On Your Computer’s Screen

In a browser or the installed app, Kaizora can also show notifications as your computer’s own while it’s open, even in another window:

  1. In Settings › Notifications, find Show while Kaizora is open.
  2. Choose Enable, and allow notifications when your browser asks. It then says they’re Allowed on this device.

These say only what kind of thing happened, such as “A metric is out of range”, never which metric or value, so nothing personal shows on your screen. If it says notifications are blocked, allow them for Kaizora in your browser’s site settings.

Notifications with Kaizora closed aren’t available.
