How Can We Help?
Answers to the questions people ask most, and a guide to every part of Kaizora.
Commonly Asked Questions
Getting Started
Everything you do yourself is free: logging, every file import, charts, habits, reference ranges, comparing metrics, the timeline, and Home, with no limit on history. Kaizora Plus, coming at launch, will add more live connections, Discover, and the AI Overview. Until then, everything is free.
No. You can log anything by hand. If you already use Apple Health, Withings, Cronometer, an Aranet4 monitor, Google Maps Timeline, a calendar, or a bank, you can import their files too, and where your photos were taken.
Kaizora runs in your browser on phones, tablets, and computers, with the same pages at every size. Desktop and mobile apps are coming.
No. Kaizora helps you keep track of your own data. It doesn’t diagnose or treat anything, and its ranges and flags aren’t medical advice. Talk to a health professional about your results.
Logging
Choose Log at the top right of any page, or press L, and search for what you’re logging, such as a weight, a blood pressure, or a food. The page you’re on offers its own types first, and on a metric’s page, Log logs that metric.
Yes. The time starts at now; change it before you save. A sleep or an activity has a start and an end.
Values that came from an import are read-only, because the next import would bring them back as the source has them. You can still add notes to them, and change an imported transaction’s category. Calculated values update by themselves.
Among others: age, body mass index, basal metabolic rate (with the formula you choose in Settings), waist-to-height ratio, each sleep’s total sleep time and efficiency, your exposure to the air where you were, your time at home and at work, net cash flow, net worth, and the scores. They’re worked out from your other values whenever you look, so they follow any change.
Imports and Data Sources
Apple Health, Withings, Cronometer, Aranet4 monitors, Google Maps Timeline, calendar files (.ics) from any calendar app, banks’ CSV statements, and the time and place in your photos, read on your device without uploading them. Apple Health also brings data from the many apps and devices that write to it.
Nothing is doubled. Readings you already have are updated in place and new ones are added, so importing a newer export is the way to stay up to date. Importing the same file again adds nothing new.
Not yet. A live connection to Withings that syncs every hour is built, and coming once Kaizora is registered with Withings. Until then, export again and import the newer file.
Open Data Sources, from the account menu, and choose Delete data in the menu of that kind of file: every row its files brought in goes, but the devices they named stay. A live connection has Delete data too, apart from Disconnect, which only stops it syncing.
Many apps and devices write to Apple Health, so their data may come in with your Apple Health export. Anything else you can log by hand.
Units and Languages
The app speaks English, French, and Spanish, and this site English and French. Kaizora follows your device’s language until you choose one in Settings.
In Settings, on the Units tab, choose a unit for each kind of measurement: body weight, body measurements, distance, temperature, energy, currency, and more. Until you do, they follow your region.
No. Each value is stored in one standard unit and converted wherever it’s shown, so a unit only changes how values look. You can type a value in any unit you have.
Each amount stays in its own currency. Wherever amounts are added up or shown in your currency, each one is converted at the US Treasury’s exchange rate in effect on its date.
Days start at midnight in your time zone, which you can set in Settings. Something that spans midnight counts where it ends, so a night’s sleep counts toward the morning you wake up.
Privacy and Your Data
Only you, through the app. Every row belongs to one account, and the database refuses anyone else’s reads and writes. Your data isn’t end-to-end encrypted, so the people who run Kaizora could reach it, for example to fix a problem; the Privacy page explains who can access what.
No. Each file is read on your device and turned into rows there; only the rows go to your account, and the file itself is never uploaded or kept.
No, never. Kaizora makes money from Kaizora Plus, coming at launch, and from affiliate links on the Products page, each clearly marked. The app has no ads, no trackers, and no analytics.
You can export everything today, for free: in Settings, Export Your Data downloads a ZIP with a CSV file per table. You can also delete anything you logged yourself, or everything one source brought in. And you can delete your whole account from Settings, for free.
Kaizora Plus and Billing
A paid plan, coming at launch, for people who want Kaizora to do more for them: more than one live connection, Discover (the strongest correlations across all your metrics), and the AI Overview (a short summary of your last 30 days, written by Claude from your numbers, once you agree to send them). Everything you do yourself stays free, and nothing free will ever move behind Plus.
$8.99 a month or $89.99 a year, in US dollars, plus applicable taxes. A new account’s first 30 days include Plus, with no card needed. The Pricing page has the details.
Not yet. Until Plus goes on sale, there’s nothing to pay.
Nothing is deleted or hidden. Your first live connection keeps syncing and the others pause until you have Plus again. Discover and new AI overviews stop, and the last overview written for you stays readable.
