Delete What a Source Brought In
Remove everything one kind of file or one live connection brought in, to clear it or import it again from scratch, and what stays.
Updated
Every kind of file you import, and every live connection, is a source. Its data is as easy to delete as it was to import: one action removes exactly what it brought in.
Delete a Source’s Data
- Open Data Sources, from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Find the source, such as Apple Health Export or Withings, and open its … menu.
- Choose Delete data. Kaizora counts its entries and asks you to confirm.
- Confirm. A large source is deleted in steps, with its progress shown.
What Goes and What Stays
- Goes: every entry the source brought in, from every file of that kind or every sync, with your own notes and changes on them, such as a transaction’s category. Its history of syncs and imports goes too.
- Stays: everything you logged yourself, every other source’s data, and the devices it named, which you can delete on Devices if you want.
There’s no undo. To keep a copy first, export your data.
Deleting Is All or Nothing
A source’s data is deleted as a whole, not one import at a time, and an imported entry can’t be deleted on its own. This keeps your history exactly as the source has it: to fix a bad import, delete the source’s data and import the right files again.
A Live Connection
For a live connection, Delete data keeps it connected: while it is, its next sync brings back everything the service still has. To stop it, choose Disconnect too. Disconnecting alone stops syncing and keeps its data.
Common Reasons
- Times came in a few hours off: delete the source’s data and import again with the right Time Zone.
- You imported the wrong file, or the wrong bank account’s statement.
- You want to start over with a full, fresh export.
