Add Your Accounts

Add the accounts you keep money in or owe on, such as a checking account or a credit card, and archive or delete them.

Updated

An account is somewhere you keep money or owe it: a checking account, a savings account, a credit card, or cash. Add your accounts before you import a bank statement, so each transaction has an account to belong to.

Open Accounts

Open Money, then choose the … menu at the top right and See Accounts. It’s also at the end of the list wherever you pick an account, and in Search. Each account is listed with its balance today.

Add an Account

  1. Choose Add account (or search for Add account… from anywhere).
  2. Give it a Name, such as “Everyday checking”.
  3. If you like, choose its Type: Checking, Savings, Credit card, Cash, Investment, or Loan; and its Institution, the bank or card that holds it.
  4. Choose Add.

An account has no currency of its own. Each balance and transaction records its own currency, and an account’s history and balance today are shown in its newest balance’s. See How Kaizora Handles Other Currencies.

The type matters to your scores: checking, savings, and cash count toward your emergency fund, and credit card balances count as debt in the Kaizora Financial Health Score.

Change, Archive, or Delete an Account

Open the account’s … menu:

  • See balances and See transactions open Balances or Transactions for that account alone.
  • Edit changes its name, type, institution, or notes.
  • Archive an account you’ve closed: it stops being offered for new entries but keeps its transactions and balances, which still count. Show archived lists archived accounts again, and Unarchive brings one back.
  • Delete removes the account with every transaction in it, imported or not, after you confirm. Archive it instead to keep them.
