Log Strength Training Sets
Log a workout set by set, with its exercise, repetitions, load, RPE, and type, and see your volume load and estimated one-rep maximums.
Updated
Strength training is logged one set at a time, as lifting logs do. A workout’s sets line up by their times, so there’s nothing to group.
Log a Set
- Choose Log, then Strength Training Set.
- Choose the Exercise, such as back squat, deadlift, or bench press.
- Type the Repetitions and the Load, in kilograms or pounds.
- If you like, choose the Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE): how many more repetitions you could have done, from 10 (no more possible) down.
- If it was one, choose its Set Type: Warm-up, Drop set, or Failure. Leave it empty for an ordinary working set.
- Set the time and choose Log.
Log each set in turn. The sets show under History on Activity › Activities, and on the Timeline.
What’s Calculated From Your Sets
- Strength Training Volume Load: each working set’s repetitions times its load, added up. Warm-ups are left out.
- Estimated One-Repetition Maximum, for the back squat, the bench press, and the deadlift: the most you could lift once, estimated by Brzycki’s equation from each working set with a load and up to 10 repetitions. A tested maximum is simply a set of one.
Each is a metric with its own page and chart, so you can follow whether you’re getting stronger, or set a habit on your weekly volume.
