Track Your Location on This Device

Turn on location tracking on a phone or computer so Kaizora keeps your location history while it's open, without logging anything.

Updated

With tracking on, Kaizora records where you are while it’s open on that device, every 15 minutes or every 50 metres you move. Your location history then fills in by itself, with your time at home and at work, the air you breathed, and how far you went.

Turn It On

  1. Open Settings, then the Privacy and Data tab.
  2. Under Location Tracking, turn on Track my location on this device.
  3. Allow location access when your browser or device asks.

You can also start from Home’s Get Started step, Track my location on this device, or from the Tracking or Not tracking badge on Location History, which opens the same switch.

Tracking is set on each device on its own: turn it on on your phone and leave it off on your computer, or the other way round.

When It Records

  • Only while Kaizora is open on the device. Recording in the background, with the app closed, isn’t available.
  • Every 15 minutes, or sooner once you’ve moved 50 metres.
  • Each location keeps its accuracy, so a rough position doesn’t look exact.

Turn It Off

Turn off Track my location on this device. Nothing more is recorded on that device; the locations already recorded stay in your history, where you can delete them from Location History.

If It Doesn’t Record

  • “Location access is blocked on this device”: allow location for Kaizora in your browser’s site settings, or in your phone’s settings for the browser, then turn tracking on again.
  • “This device can’t tell where it is”: the device has no way to find its position, as some desktop computers don’t.
