Edit or Delete an Entry
Change or delete what you logged from its menu, and why imported values can't be changed or deleted one at a time.
Updated
Every entry has a … menu wherever it’s listed: on the Timeline, in a page’s History, in a metric’s History, and in each row of a data table. Choosing the entry itself does nothing; its menu has what you can do.
Edit an Entry
- Open the entry’s … menu and choose Edit.
- The same form that logged it opens, titled “Edit this …”, with what you entered.
- Change what you need and choose Save, or Cancel to leave it as it was.
The form never deletes: deleting is only in the entry’s menu.
Editing one value never changes another: correcting a weight leaves your height alone, though values calculated from it, such as your body mass index, follow at once.
Delete an Entry
- Open the entry’s … menu and choose Delete.
- Confirm. The entry is removed for good, with every value in it, such as a blood pressure’s systolic, diastolic, and pulse together.
There is no undo, so check before you confirm. To delete several at once, select them in a data table and choose Delete from the selection’s menu. See Find, Fix, and Export Entries in a Table.
Imported Values
Anything that came from a file or a live connection is read-only. The next import or sync would bring it back as the source has it, so changing it here would be undone. You can still:
- add or change its notes;
- change an imported transaction’s category.
An imported entry can’t be deleted on its own, and its device can’t be changed. To remove imported data, delete everything its source brought in, then import a corrected file. See Delete What a Source Brought In.
To fix a value at its root, correct it in the service it came from, then export and import again: the corrected reading replaces the old one.
A Food You Logged
Editing a food you logged changes its amount, time, and notes, and scales its nutrients to the new amount. See Log a Food.
